Roses delivered as an apology...
Check it... yesterday, a student had a long black box delivered to me. Inside it were two long stem roses and a glass vase. What for? Apparently, as an apology for a disruption he made in class last week. Really, it was nothing! I hardly recall what it was about. He was angry and flew off the handle that day. Not a big deal. But still, it was the sweetest apology I have ever gotten. Very sweet!Teaching is pretty exhausting, I must admit. Coming up with lesson plans before class is not so easy. Especially for 4 classes a week. There is a huge stack of papers for me to grade on top of all that. This weekend I'm going to continue my house hunt in DC. Oh... and midterms are right are in two weeks, so I have to start writing exams. Where are all of my friends who said they'd come over armed with red pens to help grade?! Come on guys!
