Condo hunting begins!

condo hunting begins!

Moving yet again! The big choice will be between living in the District or in Virginia. At ,I was leaning towards the District, for convenience and the experience itself. But it is sad how little you get for your money, downtown. I have gotten accustomed to such beautiful large houses. It would be hard to give that up. Besides, how can I really complain about living one Metro stop away from school?

Did I mention how excited I am? After driving around DC yesterday, I started to see for my own eyes how cool of a city it is. There will be a lot of great exploring to do. The Kennedy Center is right down the street. Dupont Circle is up the other way, with Adam's Morgan just past it and Georgetown a little more off to the west. Everything within walking distance. One of the things I missed about San Francisco are the urban hikes... well, Washington DC is a great place for picturesque urban hikes! Not to mention the Mall and Smithsonian. I forgot how many trees and pretty old buildings dot the city. Federal style archetecture, everywhere! The G-Dub campus is great, too. Incredibly safe, relative to Philadelphia. And very clean! Washington, DC will be a fun place to be for four years. I'm thrilled. I really, really am!
